San Francisco Boudoir with Tola

An Afternoon in San Francisco with Tola

San Francisco is such a dream. And San Francisco Boudoir (well, more like glamour here) is so appropriate for this mild day. Every time I’m there I find more things I love about it and meet more beautiful people. So when I connected with Tola, I knew it was going to be a good shoot.

Meeting her at this moment meant a few things for her, she had just moved back to the Bay and was at the intersection of so many different decisions – will NorCal or SoCal be her home, should she be a teacher, what does one do after becoming an empty nester?

While all of these questions resonated on her mind, she gave me the opportunity to photograph her. And I’m so glad she did.

She gives her gratitude to God for seeing her through the unknown. Through her shoot she moved with grace and the type of confidence you can only gain when you’ve put your faith in yourself. Tola shows us all what San Francisco boudoir could look like.

A Query For Every Woman I Photograph: Tell Your Younger Self Something

“Protect your peace.  I tell that to my students now.  That means controlling what you can actually control and not dwelling on things thar are out of your control. Give those to God and move on.  It looks like saying no to others if it means saying yes to yourself sometimes.  It looks like making sure your cup is full/getting filled before trying to pour into others.  It means knowing your boundaries and upholding them.

It means letting go of things and tpeople that stunt your growth (physically, mentally, spiritually, wtvr). This has all been so cluth for me over the last few years.”
